Google has revealed technical specifications of the Google Glass

gg3Google has released technical specifications of the Google Glass, a pair of the Internet-connected glasses.

The resolution of the small display is likely 640×360 pixel resolution which Google highlights as “equivalent of a 25 inch high definition screen from eight feet away”. The initial version of the Glass will feature a 5MP camera that can record 720p HD videos and a battery that is long enough to power the device for a day on a typical usage.

The 16GB of storage (12GB usable) is a lot for such a small object but not a huge feat noting that Micro-SD cards now go to 64GB and beyond. Google Glass will feature Bone Conduction Transducer that conducts sound to inner ear through bones on the skull. Other specs include Adjustable nosepads, Bluetooth, Wifi – 802.11b/g, and Micro USB cable.

Brin has said the mass-market version of Google Glass will cost less than $1,500, but more than a smartphone
